My stay at the Mercure Queenstown Resort was a mixed bag. The hotel boasts stunning views and comfortable beds, but the lack of parking and distance from the town center were significant drawbacks. While I enjoyed the breakfast, the prices felt steep compared to better options in town.

Rooms
8.0
I had a standard room with nice views of the central garden and pool area. The room was modern and the beds were incredibly comfortable, definitely the best on my trip. However, the walls were quite thin, and I often heard noise from other rooms.
Service
7.0
The staff were friendly and welcoming, especially the reception team. They worked hard to make my stay enjoyable, but I found the room service lacking and a bit rushed throughout my stay.
Location
6.0
The hotel is located on a hill, providing beautiful lake views, but it requires a car to commute to the city center. I found the 30-minute walk to town challenging, especially in winter weather, and often had trouble finding parking back at the hotel.
Dining
7.0
The breakfast at the hotel was quite nice, but at $25, I felt it was overpriced compared to what I could find in town. Still, it was enjoyable with great views while dining.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel offered standard facilities like room service and free parking, but I did notice some areas needed improvement, especially room cleanliness during my stay.

My stay at Mercure Queenstown Resort was quite enjoyable! The views from my lake view room were absolutely stunning, and the staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout my entire visit. However, the dining experience could definitely use some improvement, particularly with the breakfast options and the dinner not being as tasty as I had hoped. Overall, it was a lovely spot to relax and take in the scenery. 😊🌄

I loved the spacious lake view room; it was comfortable and well-equipped. However, there were signs of wear in some areas.
Service

The staff were really cheerful and attentive, always ready to assist with any requests.
Location

Located on Fern Hill, the hotel offered amazing views of the lake, though it's a bit of a walk to the heart of Queenstown.
Dining
6.0
Dinner was decent, but I found the breakfast options underwhelming, particularly the limited fruit selection.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities were solid, especially the pool and gym, but the pool's water was too cold for my liking.

I had a wonderful stay at the Mercure Queenstown Resort with stunning lake views and spacious rooms. The staff were friendly and attentive, making my experience enjoyable. However, the breakfast options left much to be desired and parking could be a challenge during peak times.

Rooms
8.0
My room was spacious and had wonderful views. However, I felt the decor was a bit dated, and the shower was quite small. Overall, I found the room comfortable even though the furnishings could use some updates.
Service
9.0
The service was great! Every team member was friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to assist me, including when they found my e-reader that I accidentally left behind.
Location
8.0
The location is great for those wanting a peaceful retreat away from the hustle of downtown Queenstown. The stunning views from the restaurant were a definite highlight, though parking required some patience during busy periods.
Dining
5.0
I had a mixed experience with dining. While the views from the restaurant were lovely, the breakfast did not match the expectations for the price. I found the options to be lacking in freshness and variety.
Facilities
7.0
The resort offered good facilities like free Wi-Fi and a nice bar, but some areas, like the parking situation and breakfast quality, could use improvement.

I had a fantastic stay at the Mercure Queenstown Resort. the lake view was truly amazing. However, the hotel does have some shortcomings, particularly with its dining options and distance from the town center. Overall, the experience was enjoyable and worth considering if you want good value for money.

Rooms

The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious, especially with the lake view upgrade. I appreciated the amenities, though some toiletries were a bit scarce.
Service

The staff were friendly and accommodating, quickly resolving any minor issues I encountered. however, I did notice some lapses in service during busy periods.
Location

The hotel is situated a bit outside the central part of Queenstown, which offers a peaceful retreat. yet it can be inconvenient if you're relying on public transportation.
Dining
6.0
Dining at the hotel could be improved. while the breakfast was alright, I found better value and variety in town.
Facilities

The hotel had decent facilities including a bar and restaurant. but the sauna's location could be better planned for a more pleasant experience.

I recently stayed at the Mercure Queenstown Resort, and while the views of Lake Wakatipu were stunning, the overall experience left a bit to be desired. The service varied; while some of the restaurant staff were friendly and accommodating, the reception staff could be disinterested. Additionally, the food quality was subpar, particularly for a hotel of this standard, which was quite disappointing. Overall, there were positives with the views and bed comfort, but issues with dining and room maintenance impacted my stay.

Rooms
6.0
The room had a lovely lake view, which I appreciated, but there were some downsides. There was a musty smell, likely due to the stained carpet that really needs to be replaced. The toilet seat was loose and stained, which was unpleasant. Although the bed was comfortable, the overall decor felt dated and drab.
Service
6.0
I found the reception staff less than engaging, which was a letdown. However, the restaurant staff were attentive and tried their best to address any issues that arose. Communication among staff seemed a bit poor, which might have contributed to some confusion during my stay.
Location
8.0
The location was one of the highlights, situated right by the lake with gorgeous views. It felt somewhat removed from the hustle of Queenstown central, but still within walking distance, allowing us to appreciate more of the natural beauty surrounding us.
Dining
6.0
I had high hopes for the dining options given the location, but the food quality was disappointing. The breakfast options were limited and fell short of expectations. Though the staff were trying hard to assist and apologize for any food issues, they couldn't make up for the lack of good food choices.
Facilities
7.0
The amenities were decent with a bar and restaurant on-site, but I found the pricing for food and drinks quite high compared to the quality provided. I did appreciate the parking facilities, though, as they were ample and convenient.
